Castellón de la Plana is a Spanish city, capital of the Castellón province belonging to Valencian Community.
It is located in the East of the Iberian Peninsula and surrounded by different mountains by interior and Mediterranean Sea eastward. The municipality enjoys 10 kilometers of that coast. The urban core is located about 30 m above the sea level and about 4 km from the coast.
According to the National Institute of Statistics in 2010 Castellón had a population of 180.690 inhabitants.
